Required Qualifications: This position requires an associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field.
The candidate must have experience in C#, JAVA, C++, or similar object-oriented programming language, and SQL experience with MS SQL or other RDBMS.
Working Hours: This position may require occasionally working at night, on weekends or holidays if the workload or a particular problem presents itself.
Key Responsibilities: This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.
Develop new and enhance existing applications using PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, C#, JAVA, and other PeopleSoft tools and IDE/programming languages, and create related functional/technical documentation.
Provide technical and business analysis to support requested applications/modifications.
Answer helpdesk calls and assist end users with software-related issues.
Attend departmental and user-related meetings and collaborate in teams for software development.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of computer applications, principles, practices, and procedures of state-of-the-art data processing.
Be capable of understanding and following moderately complex instructions and collaborate effectively throughout the College community.
Must have the ability to learn new methods, procedures, and operations.
Skills in analyzing systems, writing code to modify, integrate, and maintain computer applications.
Skills in compiling, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX is also desirable.
