Job Description
Summary
TopBuild is seeking a Hands-on Senior Oracle Applications Developer to design and develop extensions in Oracle E-Business Suite providing techno-functional support for the development, design, analysis of enterprise-wide ERP and related applications.
A strong background in technical and functional knowledge of several of the Oracle modules, particularly Order to Cash, and core Financials are required for this position.
Essential Functions
Analyze business requirements
Work with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes
Work with the PM/BA to understand the business requirements and functional specifications
Translate requirements and business specifications into technical specifications for ERP and related applications.
Design and develop extensions in Oracle ERP
Design and develop Oracle applications modules extensions using SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Workflow, OA Framework
Analyze the enterprise-wide application for Functional and Technical solutions to meet the business and users requirements.
Create process flows, high level functional and detailed technical design specifications from business requirements
Performance code reviews and performance tune the programs for optimal performance
Build interfaces between Oracle ERP and trading partners (Customers, Vendors, Banks) and other applications using Oracle SOA Suite
Understands and follows full software development life cycle, code development, code review, unit testing and developing documentation
Maintain and support ERP extensions
Enhance and resolve production issues and bugs with ERP extensions
Work with end-users, other IT technical resources and/or Oracle Support to troubleshoot problems and resolve applications issues
Recommend the best practices to the management to increase efficiency and functionality
Work with QA/Business Analysts teams for code builds, releases, test case design and
defect resolution
Coordinate activities with offshore team and Consultants
Plan Application development tasks with the offshore team and do tasks related coordination
Coordinate with onsite consultants providing them technical expertise
Coordinate activities with other teams (Business Analysts, DBA team and Data warehouse developers)
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Special Certification or Licensing:
Preferred – OCP, Lean Six Sigma, PMP
Experience
10+ years
Type of Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT-related field
Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in the design and development using Oracle ERP
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in oracle applications implementation and end-user support.
Experience in Oracle SOA Suite preferred
Experience with Web Development technologies like ADF, Angular, React, Vue, Spring Boot, ORDS preferred
Good oral/written communication and organization skills.
Familiarity with oracle database administration
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
Additional/Preferred Experience:
Continuous Improvement project experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting of boxes or packages under 10 lbs.
