Job Summary:
The Student Life Support Staff is vital in assisting and enhancing the student life experience on campus.
This position supports various student affairs functions and activities, fostering a positive and inclusive campus environment.
The role caters to the needs of students outside regular class hours.
Some Saturdays are required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1.
Manage evening activities in the Center for Civic Engagement for the Office of Student Life.

, planning, organizing, and executing student events, including workshops, seminars, and social activities.
2.
Act as a liaison between students and the Student Affairs department, addressing their concerns and ensuring they know available resources and services.
3.
Aid in coordinating student activities to help new students acclimate to campus life.
4.
Stay informed about campus resources, services, and academic policies to provide accurate information and referrals to students related to Student Life.
5.
Assist in promoting student affairs programs and events through various channels, including social media, posters, and email communications.
6.
Collaborate with other support staff, student organizations, faculty, and administration to create a cohesive student life experience.
7.
Provide support and guidance to students in need, directing them to appropriate resources or counselors when necessary.
8.
Collect and maintain data related to student affairs programs, attendance, and feedback for assessment and improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or relevant software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of and commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive campus environment.
Proven / demonstrated skills in conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in student affairs or a similar role
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree is preferred or three (3) years of experience in student personnel work or an equivalent combination of training and experience in a university setting.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position.
The schedule may include evenings and weekends to accommodate student events and activities.
