*About us* This is a small law firm in Daytona Beach that is specialized in Estate Planning, Tax Law, Probate and Business law.
We are looking for a candidate who has at least 2 years of prior experience working as an administrative assistant, an executive assistant, a legal secretary or a position adjacent thereto.
The ideal candidate will have experience in creating or working with systems that increased efficiency, ease and productivity in an office environment.
Responsibilities: * Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner * Answer and "triage" calls * Schedule appointments and maintain calendar for the Attorney * Scan, file and organize legal documents using document management systems * Draft Correspondence, Estate Plans and Probate Documents using the Attorney's software and templates * Conduct internet research as requested * Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics as requested * Proofread documents * Respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner * Handle day-to-day administrative tasks * Follow-up with clients and professionals working with the Attorney * Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information * Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to improve efficiency and quality of systems used by the Attorney and staff Required Traits: * Trustworthy * Dependable * Motivated * Detail oriented * Empathetic * Organized * Friendly * Calm under pressure * Positive, upbeat personality * Analytical * Flexible in learning new ways of performing tasks Required Skills: * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills * Ability to speak professionally to anyone regardless of their position/title * Ability to work independently and efficiently * Highly developed organizational and multi-tasking skills * Maturity of judgement in anticipating the Attorney's needs/priorities and taking action to address those needs/priorities without being asked * Excellent judgement and the ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity * Think analytically and take direction well * Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have the ability to learn and become proficient in the use of other specialized software as may be required * Self-starter that is also collaborative Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.

00 per hour Expected hours: 24 per week Benefits: * Opportunities for advancement Schedule: * Day shift * No nights * No weekends Travel requirement: * No travel Application Question(s): * When you have completed all of the tasks asked of you in a given day and you find that you have some downtime, are you someone who needs to be told what to do next so that you remain being helpful or are you capable of finding ways to be helpful without being asked? * If the hours are set at 10 am to 3 pm Monday through Thursday, would you be willing to stay later for an Estate Planning signing or come in earlier, if asked and if your hours and/or pay were adjusted for the additional time? * The hours are currently set at 10 am - 3 pm, Monday through Thursday.
If, in the future, we changed the hours to be 10 am - 4 pm or 9 am - 4 pm, would you be willing to work the additional hours? (Note, any schedule changes would be negotiated and agreed to before implemented.
