Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Verifier.
As an Insurance Verifier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate insurance verification within our medical office.
This position requires strong knowledge of medical records, and insurance verification.
Duties: - Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients - Obtain necessary authorizations for medical procedures - Review and update patient information in the electronic medical records system - Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues - Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely insurance verification Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Previous experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable - Strong knowledge of medical coding, ICD-10, and managed care systems preferred - Proficient in using office software and electronic medical records systems - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Strong communication and interpersonal skills If you are a motivated individual with a passion for accuracy and efficiency in insurance verification, we encourage you to apply for this position.
