11 ft Boston Whaler - $3,500 (Daytona Beach)

11 ft Boston Whaler for sale $3500 I am 2nd owner of this boat.
The original owner of this boat died in 1998.
It was stored in a garage until I bought it 2 years ago from his son.
I used it for 6 months then stored it upside down under a tarp for the last year and a half.
Before I started to repair it.

It’s a solid dry hull.
The inside gelcoat had checking in some spots from being stored in the hot garage.
I sanded out the old gelcoat in the areas that were checked down to bare glass and re-glassed the front and back deck areas.
Before spraying new gelcoat.
Those deck areas are stronger than new.
I left the the non slip floor areas intact as they were ok.
They got a couple of coats of gelcoat after a light sanding.

The original rubrail on these boats was crap.
They were three pieces one that covered the top edge, a white vinyl main part with a plastic insert.
I replaced the rub rail with new a rubber rail I bought from a guy that built high end custom flats boats.
It’s got nice new 5/8 twist rope inserted in it.
A hell of a lot better than that plastic insert.
This boat is intended for to be a tender.
It’s has black ablative bottom paint on it so you can leave it in the water.
The original outside gelcoat was compounded and polished.
There were no holes in it but some surface nicks and chips were repaired.
Some people will paint these boats with Allgrip or Alexseal and they look great for a few years.
If the hull is painted it will blister and peal off below the water line if it lives in the water.
It’s a lot more work , but sanding down to bare glass and re-gelcoating is the only way It’s going to last.
