This is a great Sea Ray 390 Sportfisherman, with wide 14" beam, generous outdoor areas, shallow draft (33") for a vessel weighing in at 18,400 lbs Dry and roughly 34K lbs fully loaded.
The 390 was the flag-ship model for Sea Ray in 1986.
The wide beam combines with generous displacement to make this boat very stable.
A great feature of this boat are the "prop pockets", which are tunnels in the hull that allow the manufacturer to place the propellers and the rudders higher up, and actually somewhat "inside" the lines of the hull.
This feature significantly changes to angle of the propeller, and allow the boat to plane faster, and stay on plane at slower speeds.
These "prop pockets" are the reason this 18,000 lb boat drafts a mere 33" of water! Experienced fishermen appreciate the Sea Ray for its ability to enter shallow waters to go after certain fish.
Folks familiar with these boats, appreciate the placement of the exhaust, as it exits on the sides, rather than the traditional transom (rear) of the boat.
The exhaust is down in the water during slow speed maneuvering, such as moving around the dock areas, and helps keep engine noise to a minimum.
Once the boat is up on plane, the hull lifts out of the water and these side exhaust open to the air, and the mellow deep voice of this boat really comes out.
The forward stateroom is well appointed, and very comfortable.
It features a private sink, and separate climate control.
The full head has a shower with a door, keeping the head and sink area dry.
This boat has a pressurized holding tank system, which removes waste water from mid ship, and transports it to the transom area, for easy removal at the dock.
The galley is generous, open and "airy".
Large windows provide great views and abundant natural light.
The "captain" and the "cook" find it easily carry on conversation as the salon helm, and the galley are within view and speaking distance.
This craft features an open concept main salon area.
The generous swim platform, transom door, swim ladder, and shallow draft make this an ideal boat to take advantage of lonely stretches of beach.
The rear outdoor patio is perfect for that glass of wine and great conversation, or at times meditation watching the sun go down!
This is a great craft for relaxing, fishing, trolling, or putting the "hammer down" and running on top.
Sea Ray is known world wide for it's hull design, and ability to handle rough conditions.
